Lee's Black Books
There is no doubt to anyone who watched the show that Lee liked the ladies, however, there were few that he loved. This page will be a breakdown of all of them, from the casual to the serious. A few not pictured below because they were only mentioned and never seen are Margo, who dumped him for a pilot(The Three Faces of Emily), Gillian, who had a lodge in the Poconos(Our Man in Tegernsee), Crystal, who left a satiny robe at his place, (Need to Know) and the Petrovich twins, who were tumblers with the Moscow Circus.(Need to Know.)
Of course, we all know that it was Amanda King who finally won his heart for good. Since she has her own entire section, I will not be including her in this one.

Starting with the very first such encounter we see, Celeste greeted Lee at a party in a smooth, sultry voice that made it clear she had more on her mind than simply saying hello. She seemed to be a bit put out at seeing him there with Amanda, even going as far as to get in a little jibe at Amanda's expense. "You came dressed as a housewife. That's nutty!" While we don't know for sure that Lee was actually involved with Celeste, it's clear that she wanted him to be. (The First Time)

Not much is known about the nature of Lee's relationship with fellow agent, Francine except they once "played backgammon," but hadn't done so in years and that Lee "dumped her like a truckload of coals." One thing that is certain is that no matter what happened in their personal relationship, they managed to rise above it and become close friends, developing and almost sibling-like relationship in later years. (Promises to Keep, Remembrances of Things Past, Weekend)

One of several women who interrupts Lee and Amanda at a party, in this instance to tell Lee that she's back from Gstaad and remind him that he "usually sends flowers."
Lee clearly feels awkward in the situation since he and Amanda are there together for a job and not thinking he jumps in to tell Phyllis that Amanda is just recovering from a bout of Dengue Fever. (Dead Ringer) |
Betsy accosts Lee with the classic "Don't I know you..." line, yet another woman who interrupted Lee and Amanda at a party. He acts if is he does not indeed know her, but with Lee, one never knows if he's just trying to politely give her the brush-off because he's no longer interested or if he genuinely doesn't know her. She seems undeterred either way and tells him to look her up "if things get boring," with a pointed look at Amanda. (Life of the Party)

Elisa was clearly born with a silver spoon in her mouth as it is mentioned that her father had many military contracts. She is friendly enough with Dr. Smyth to be on a first-name basis with him and is acquainted with Billy as well. When Lee is assigned by Smyth to "get next to her," for a case, we learn that he has a "pretty steamy history" with her including a story involving her, him and a violinist in the back of a limousine. The trouble comes with this job in the fact that Lee is already secretly married to Amanda and has to fight off her advances at every turn, something she notices and when getting no information from him when she probes, she goes to Billy, who also refuses to disclose anything about Amanda, but makes it clear that Lee is now off the market. (All That Glitters)

Not much is known about Pamela other than that she is an agent whom Lee once dated, however, when we see her, she is clearly involved at that time with Lee's former mentor, Paul Barnes AKA "The Wizard." During the course of their conversation, it's clear that she is well aware of the Oz Network and Barnes' quest to hunt down the ruthless Serdeych, who kills her moments later. (We're Off to See the Wizard)
|
One of a couple of women in Francine's slideshow of women murdered by Serdeych due to their connection with Lee, described as "young and professional." (We're Off to See the Wizard)
|
Stacy, like Anne Mari was one of the women in Francine's slideshow of women murdered by Serdeych due to their connection with Lee, described as "young and professional." (We're Off to See the Wizard)
|
Cheryl, like Pamela, Anne Marie and Stacy was another of Lee's former dates who fell victim to Serdeych, very nearly in front of Amanda who had gone to speak with her about the dire situation. It is her death that leads to Serdeych attempting to kill Amanda as well. (We're Off to See the Wizard)
|
Kris is an aerobics instructor whom Francine attempts to warn about the murders. Not much is known about her except that Lee had told her that he was a cellist. (We're Off to See the Wizard)
|
Leslie was a translator with the U.N. who was a particular thorn in Amanda's side more than any other woman because she represented Lee's attempt at dating someone "normal." More than that, she was something of an "Amanda replacement" to the point that Lee even attempted to dress her like Amanda and even called her by the wrong name. While we don't know exactly how he ended things with her, by the end of the episode, his date with her to the Soviet Embassy has been broken and he's asked Amanda out instead. Whether he had an epiphany with the wrong name incident or whether Leslie herself did, we just never know. (Over the Limit)
|
The only thing we know for sure about Randy is that Lee attempted twice to have a date with her at his apartment, both interrupted by Amanda, the second leading to her departing from his life for good in a huff believing that she's just the "evening edition." (A Little Sex, A Little Scandal
|
Dorothy technically doesn't fit within the "black book" category since it was clear that Lee cared for her in his 20's, but I'm including her because she is most definitely a part of his past. A member of the Oz Network, she was gunned down right in front of him and was the first person Lee ever saw die that way. What is not known is how serious their relationship was or if Dorothy is even her real name, since he mentioned she was "codenamed" Dorothy. (We're Off to See the Wizard)

Eva was a woman Lee "almost married" while on assignment in Italy posing as a student to listen to Angelo Spinelli's lecture on ESP. When he tells the tale, he indicates that he never quite got that far though because he was all set to discuss it with her when she announced to him that she was marrying Angelo. It is later revealed that she was working for the other side the whole time and marrying Angelo was nothing more than a job, at which time she confesses to Lee that she was in love with him, but it's too late. She's betrayed him and it's over. (Lost and Found)

"The woman above, though she may not be in Lee's books, she certainly fits the profile because she's blonde, bouncy and flirtatious in asking Lee to "fluff her pom-poms." Had Amanda not intervened, it's quite possible she'd have been added to his books. (Sudden Death)
